PRC Desoto - PR-2050 B1/2 Aerodynamic Smoothing Compound - 6 oz is a two-part, epoxy cured Permapol- P-3.1 polythioether compound that is designed for fillet sealing of aircraft fuel tanks and fuselage applications. With a service temperature range from -80-F (-62-C) to 320-F (160-C), and intermittent excursions up to 420-F (216-C), PR-2001 Class B is a rapid cure, low odor sealant that maintains excellent elastomeric properties even after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. Unlike standard polysulfide fuel tank sealants, it can cure at low temperatures and is not affected by changes in relative humidity. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste that can be easily applied using an extrusion gun or spatula. It also has excellent adhesion to commonly used aircraft substrates when properly prepared.
