Flying Eyes® Kingfisher Standard Aviation Sunglasses
The Flying Eyes® Kingfisher Standard is engineered for pilots who demand all-day comfort under aviation headsets and helmets. Designed for medium to large faces, these aviation sunglasses combine modern rectangular styling with ultra-thin temples and UV400 protection for superior cockpit performance.
Key Features
Headset & Helmet Compatible: Micro-thin 1mm Resilamide™ temples slide comfortably under ear seals without creating pressure points or noise leaks.
Lightweight Aerospace-Grade Frame: Made entirely from flexible, durable Resilamide™, a high-performance polymer used in aerospace applications.
100% UV400 Protection: Shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB rays while delivering clear, distortion-free optics.
Wrap-Back Temple Design: Temples contour around your head rather than behind your ears, allowing easy on/off use while wearing a headset.
Prescription Compatible: Frame supports Rx lenses for pilots who require vision correction.
Built for the Cockpit
Traditional sunglasses often cause discomfort under modern noise-canceling headsets. The Kingfisher Standard solves this problem with ultra-thin 1mm temples engineered specifically for aviation use. The flexible Resilamide™ construction ensures a secure yet barely noticeable fit during long cross-country flights, flight training sessions, or commercial operations.
Precision-manufactured polycarbonate lenses provide impact resistance and uncompromised clarity in bright flying conditions. By default, lenses are non-polarized while blocking 100% UV light. Mirrored options feature color only on the exterior surface to prevent internal distortion.
Bifocal options include a 15mm reader segment positioned at the lower portion of the lens, ideal for scanning instruments and charts without excessive head movement.
