PRC Desoto - PR-1440 B1/2 Fuel Tank Sealant - Pint
PR-1440 Class B is an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant. It has a service temperature range from -65-C (-54-C) to 250-F (121-C), with intermittent excursions up to 275-F (135-C). This material is designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and other aircraft fuselage sealing applications. The cures sealant maintains excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas.
PR-1440 Class B is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide compounds. The uncured material is a low sag, thixotropic paste suitable for application by extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

Also is the better of the 2 options since it is rated at 5,000 psi, not that I go to that high of pressure but I like the safety and security knowing that my chances of it blowing up in my face are a whole lot better and I can also purchase replacement seals for them at the same shop!!!
I bought the DC PTT because I know and trust the DC quality/durability to hold up to using every day. And so far it’s the best PTT I’ve used. I have a couple other no-name PTTs and the cable sheathing is crumbling and falling off. The DC PTT has worked even in sub zero cabin temp conditions when I didn’t have a functioning heater. I bought two to have a spare but the first one has been working great for 300hrs so far.
