Golden Eagle Sport sunglasses are designed to be amazingly comfortable under a helmet or aviation-style headset and fit those with medium to large size heads and faces. Our military personnel customers favor these frames for their ANSI Z87 safety rating. The entire structure and temples are made of Resilamide™, a material primarily used in aerospace. This very costly polymer material makes these glasses virtually unbreakable yet super light and flexible. Their 1mm thin temples and flexibility mean that you will not feel them while wearing a helmet or headset. If you wear a modern, noise-canceling headset, the temples are thin enough to eliminate noise leaks.
They also offer precision manufactured and shatterproof polycarbonate lenses that provide uncompromised clarity. By default, they are non-polarized and yet block 100% UV light. Mirrored lenses are only colored on one side; there is no color distortion while wearing.
Bifocals feature a magnified/reader portion of the lens that is well-suited for seeing broad areas without having to move your head much, measuring:
13mm from the bottom of the frame (just under halfway up the lens)
Flying Eyes temples wrap smoothly around your head and do not wrap around/behind your ears. This means you can easily slide them on or off while wearing any helmet or headset.
Each set of Flying Eyes eyewear comes with a protective case and a soft, microfiber cleaning cloth/bag. And like all Flying Eyes eyewear, they are prescription compatible.
Want to know what makes The Golden Eagle Sport Sunglasses Unique?
Flexible temples made from Resilamide™ are 1mm thin for ultimate comfort and functionality.
Temples that wrap around your head; not around your ears
Shatterproof, polycarbonate lenses that block 100% UV light keep your eyes safe
The wrap-around style gives you the best peripheral vision
Available in a variety of lens tints and two different sizes for small and medium heads/faces
Adjustable, soft nose-pad keeps glasses properly positioned and balanced for optimal fit
The Frekote 770-NC synthetic mold release I ordered has a 6-month shelf life from the factory. The can I received on 8/25 was set to expire on 8/31 according to the date printed on the bottom of the can. I called and sent a photo of the can bottom and they said it should have been taken off the shelf a month earlier, so they will send me a good can when new stock arrives without sending the out of date can back.
I appreciate the fast delivery and them taking care of the issue, but it means you could be buying product that has only one month of shelf life remaining. Call before you buy and have them confirm the expiration date of their stock and if it is less than works for you, work out delivery from fresh stock or negotiate a discount.
It's the standard pilot log for a reason. Many different flight time categories with just enough space for remarks. As a helicopter pilot, it would be nice if the endorsements section wasn't fixed-wing focused; but I get that there are a lot fewer helicopter pilots out there, so I won't dock any stars for that. This is my third ASA-SP-57 logbook at this point, and I intend to keep getting more of them in the future.
