Finally, An Organized Place To Write Information While In The Aircraft. FlyWrite was developed out of the amazement of watching student pilots to CFII's jotting down needed radio and flight information on everything from sectionals, ifr charts, gum wrappers and even the palm of their hand. Each pad contains 50 5" x 8" sheets and can be used with or without standard junior legal vinyl binders. The extra heavy cardboard backed binding serves as a firm writing surface and helps assure against lost or wind blown papers.
FlyWrite is NOT another flight planner! It is a dedicated place for all the information that flows while in the cockpit of the aircraft, for both IFR and VFR flight. Here, you will record IFR clearances, ATIS, AWOS, frequencies, flight times, hobbs times, tach times, airport information, frequency changes, hand-off's, altitude changes, weather, etc. There is also a large area for random information or needed diagrams. FlyWrite™ also contains our handy vertical scale which measures mileage for WAC, SEC, TAC, NOS, JEPP, & ELA charts, eliminating the need for that ruler you can never find.
It's the standard pilot log for a reason. Many different flight time categories with just enough space for remarks. As a helicopter pilot, it would be nice if the endorsements section wasn't fixed-wing focused; but I get that there are a lot fewer helicopter pilots out there, so I won't dock any stars for that. This is my third ASA-SP-57 logbook at this point, and I intend to keep getting more of them in the future.
This is nearly identical to my first pilot logbook, but with a new smooth matte black cover. This logbook checks all the boxes from student pilot through Commercial. It might just be the only logbook you’ll ever need. Fly safe!
