So‑Sure® TT‑P‑1757 primer is a single-component, zinc chromate alkyd-based coating designed to protect treated metal surfaces from corrosion. It dries quickly, maintains flexibility, and promotes excellent adhesion for topcoats. This VOC-compliant formula contains no CFCs or ozone-depleting compounds and meets the requirements of MIL‑SPEC TT‑P‑1757B, Type I and Type II, Class C.

This stuff has way less solids than previously available Zinc Chromate marine/aviation paint. It is therefore more runny and may not last as long. This brand has the color right, which is important when touching up the original Zinc Chromate on vintage aircraft.
Correct ugly green for your retro Colt 601 stock, grip and handguards. Leaves a dull shine that burnished well. An authentic look that makes anyone ask "what were they thinking 65 years ago?".
