Momentive's SilGrip PSA529 silicone pressure sensitive adhesive is a toluene solution consisting of polysiloxane gum and resin. It contains 55 percent silicone solids and may further be diluted with aromatic, aliphatic, or chlorinated solvents. In order to obtain specific performance properties, PSA529 may be blended with SR545 resin dispersion or with other methyl-based silicone pressure sensitive adhesives. Also is the better of the 2 options since it is rated at 5,000 psi, not that I go to that high of pressure but I like the safety and security knowing that my chances of it blowing up in my face are a whole lot better and I can also purchase replacement seals for them at the same shop!!!
I bought the DC PTT because I know and trust the DC quality/durability to hold up to using every day. And so far it’s the best PTT I’ve used. I have a couple other no-name PTTs and the cable sheathing is crumbling and falling off. The DC PTT has worked even in sub zero cabin temp conditions when I didn’t have a functioning heater. I bought two to have a spare but the first one has been working great for 300hrs so far.
