Castrol Aero 40 is a high quality, MIL-PRF-5606 based, ISO Grade 15 mineral hydraulic fluid which contains a shear stable viscosity index improver, anti-oxidant, anti-wear agents, and an approved EP additive system which reduces martensitic streaking of landing gear outer cylinders and galling of shock strut upper bearings. Castrol Aero 40 is available in two versions: red dyed (Douglas Aircraft) or straw colored (yellow) undyed (Boeing Spec BMS 3- 32, Type II).
Used 7 on heavily oxidized Airstream. Sanded off oxidation. Presto changeo, an almost mirror-like finish. Will stick with Nuvite. Important to follow instructional video.
This is an amazing aid to my fisning. Something serious inland fishermen should have. My only regret is that I didn't have this over the last 20 years.
