Product Overview
The BrightLine Flex Bag 5" Center Section (PN: CS FIVE-01) is a versatile mid-module that increases usable volume without changing the FLEX system's footprint. Originally developed for IFR customers, the CS5 easily accommodates binders and navigation documents while also serving as a practical travel compartment for clothes, accessories, and a 13" laptop.
The CS5's top zipper provides quick access to the upper compartment (and doubles as a sunglass holder). For full retrieval of items—above and below the divider—use the front-opening panel. The included divider shelf attaches with wide Velcro strips so you can move it up or down or remove it entirely. Two external FLEX-Mount stations let you add side pockets for small items or tools. Note: this module does not include a main handle or shoulder strap; add those separately if building a custom bag.

I built this kit as a teenager most of 55 years ago. The kit is essentially the same, but now they’re laser cut. In the past, the panels were die-cut, sometimes you get one done with a dull cutter. That took a lot of extra time, carefully re-scoring everything with a narrow Exacto blade so the pieces wouldn’t split. This kit is so crisp, it’s a joy to assemble. It’s fun seeing old reflexes come to life while assembling this baby. I only have the FW-190 from those years, but also built this one (the Hellcat), the Spitfire, Me-109, and the P-40. Good times!
