For a tough sealant that resists oil and aromatic hydrocarbons, choose General Sealants 424 polysulfide sealant tape. This high performance sealant keeps its bond, even when it's submerged in a solvent, and it won't craze plastic materials. It can also bond to itself. This polysulfide sealant tape conforms to MIL-S-11030F Type I and III specifications.
Operating temperatures: -40 degrees to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (-40 degrees to 82 degrees Celsius)
Used 7 on heavily oxidized Airstream. Sanded off oxidation. Presto changeo, an almost mirror-like finish. Will stick with Nuvite. Important to follow instructional video.
This is an amazing aid to my fisning. Something serious inland fishermen should have. My only regret is that I didn't have this over the last 20 years.
