The company’s goal was the franchise of the popular Merrell Ground School under the name “Aviation Seminars of America,” or ASA.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn November, 1976, Joe Cucchiari purchased the company. “Aviation Supplies and Academics” replaced Aviation Seminars of America as the name to go with the ASA acronym, and the company again broadened its product line to add cassette courses and new books and training materials. The company was incorporated in 1977. In 1981, Joe Finelli joined the organization, bringing 20 years of experience in printing and publishing with him. I bought the DC PTT because I know and trust the DC quality/durability to hold up to using every day. And so far it’s the best PTT I’ve used. I have a couple other no-name PTTs and the cable sheathing is crumbling and falling off. The DC PTT has worked even in sub zero cabin temp conditions when I didn’t have a functioning heater. I bought two to have a spare but the first one has been working great for 300hrs so far.
