Mental Math for Pilots, Second Edition by Ronald D. McElroy helps pilots strengthen the mental arithmetic skills used in everyday flight operations. The book focuses on practical shortcuts, formulas, and techniques for solving common aviation calculations quickly without relying entirely on electronic tools.
The book covers practical calculations pilots frequently encounter, including temperature conversions, crosswind components, time-speed-distance problems, reciprocal headings, visual descent points, and other common aviation math. Straightforward explanations and memory aids are used to make the techniques easier to recall in the cockpit.
Mental Math for Pilots can be useful for pilots preparing for interviews or checkrides, as well as aviators who want to sharpen their ability to perform quick mental calculations during flight planning and cockpit operations.

Described as woodgrain but it’s not. It’s solid black, so doesn’t look like the original.
I don't know how we originally came by these lens wipes, but they are truly the best!
