3M 425 aluminum tape comes in a 2 in width, 60 yd length, uses an acrylic adhesive and is packaged 24 rolls per case. Can be used in the following temperature range: -65 F to +300 F. Provides a tensile strength of 30 lb/in. When purchasing this product, consider the thickness. The variances in thickness often make an important difference in proper performance. This aluminum tape has a 4.6 mil total thickness. In addition to the other properties this product is flame retardant. Also is the better of the 2 options since it is rated at 5,000 psi, not that I go to that high of pressure but I like the safety and security knowing that my chances of it blowing up in my face are a whole lot better and I can also purchase replacement seals for them at the same shop!!!
I bought the DC PTT because I know and trust the DC quality/durability to hold up to using every day. And so far it’s the best PTT I’ve used. I have a couple other no-name PTTs and the cable sheathing is crumbling and falling off. The DC PTT has worked even in sub zero cabin temp conditions when I didn’t have a functioning heater. I bought two to have a spare but the first one has been working great for 300hrs so far.
